Curbing Repair in Utah

Repair cracked, chipped, or damaged concrete curbing. We match existing colors and patterns to restore your curbing to like-new condition without replacing the entire run.

Concrete curbing is durable, but it's not indestructible. Tree roots heave it. Snowplows clip the corners. Settling ground opens cracks. Heavy equipment rolls over it during a remodel. Whatever caused the damage, you've got a section of curbing that looks broken while the rest of the yard looks great. That's where curbing repair comes in — fix the damaged section without replacing the entire run.

We specialize in localized repair, meaning we remove and repour only the damaged section. If you have 200 feet of curbing and 15 feet is cracked, you don't need 200 feet of new concrete. We cut out the damaged portion, prep the base, and pour a new section that ties into the existing borders on both ends. It's faster, cheaper, and avoids tearing up landscaping that's perfectly fine.

The trickiest part of curbing repair is color and pattern matching. If your curbing is three years old and has faded slightly, new concrete in the "same" color will look different. We address this two ways: first, we select the closest integral color from our 14 options using sample chips matched against your existing curbing in natural light. Second, we recommend re-sealing both the repaired section and the adjacent existing curbing at the same time — sealant evens out color differences and makes the transition much less noticeable.

Not all damage needs repair. Hairline surface cracks are cosmetic and can often be addressed with re-sealing alone. Larger cracks, heaved sections, and broken chunks do need repour. During the on-site estimate, Justin will assess the damage honestly and tell you whether repair, re-sealing, or replacement is the right call. We'd rather send you home with a $150 re-seal than sell you a $900 repair you don't need.

Common Questions

We match as closely as possible using our 14 integral color options. Older curbing may have faded from UV exposure, so a fresh pour in the "same" color can look slightly different. Re-sealing both the new and existing sections after the repair helps blend them together. In most cases, the color match is very close and any difference is only noticeable if you're looking for it.

We repair cracked sections, chipped edges, heaved portions (from tree roots or ground settling), and broken-off chunks. If the curbing has shifted but isn't cracked, we can sometimes reset it without repouring. Hairline surface cracks are usually cosmetic and can be managed with re-sealing rather than repair. We assess on-site and give you an honest recommendation.

Repair is almost always cheaper than replacing the entire run. If 10% of your curbing is damaged, repair costs roughly 15–20% of a full replacement — you're paying for the damaged section plus tie-in work on each end. Full replacement only makes sense if the majority of the curbing is damaged or if you want to change the color or style entirely.
