Driveway Borders in Utah

Concrete curbing along driveways that prevents gravel spread, defines edges, and adds curb appeal visible from the street. The first thing visitors notice.

Your driveway is the first thing people see when they pull up to your house. If the edges are ragged — gravel spilling into the lawn, asphalt crumbling at the margins, or no defined line between the drive and the landscape — it drags down the entire front yard. Concrete driveway borders fix this in a single morning.

We pour continuous concrete borders along one or both sides of your driveway, creating a clean edge that separates the driving surface from the landscaping. For gravel and loose-fill driveways, this means rock stays on the drive instead of migrating into the yard. For asphalt and concrete driveways, the border provides a finished frame that looks intentional — like the driveway was designed, not just poured and forgotten.

Driveway borders take a beating. Cars clip them, snowplows push against them, and Utah's freeze-thaw cycles test everything outdoors. We pour our borders with a wider base profile specifically for driveway applications, and the continuous extrusion means there are no joints or seams where cracking starts. The result is a border that handles real-world traffic without splitting apart after the first winter.

Style options are the same as our other curbing — 14 colors, 10 stamp patterns, 4 profiles. Most homeowners match their driveway borders to their flower bed or walkway curbing for a consistent look across the whole property. If you're doing the front yard and want maximum curb appeal, driveway borders paired with bed borders are the highest-impact combination we install. Evening quote, next-morning pour, and your front yard looks completely different by the time your neighbors get home from work.

Common Questions

We pour right up against the driveway edge — typically within a half inch of the existing surface. For concrete driveways, the border butts directly against the slab edge. For asphalt, we allow a small gap for thermal expansion. The result is a tight, clean line with no visible gap between the drive and the border.

Not if you're using a standard plow or snowblower. Our borders sit at or just above grade level, so plow blades ride right over them. If you shovel by hand, the border actually helps — it gives you a defined edge to push snow toward. We do recommend a mower-friendly or flat profile along driveways for the smoothest transition.

Our standard driveway border is about 6 inches wide, which works for most residential applications. We can go wider (up to 10–12 inches) if you want a more prominent look or need extra containment for gravel driveways. Width is discussed during the on-site estimate and doesn't significantly change the per-foot cost.
